This column is devoted to examining the many difficulties associated with the Holy Bible.  I want the tens of millions of Jews and Christians who have been duped into believing that the Bible is the inspired word of God to know and see for themselves that the Bible is a flawed book.  It is my hope that there are hundreds upon hundreds of "slay the dragon for Christ (or Moses) crusaders" out there who will disagree with me and write to me in an attempt to straighten me out.  Do so by email.  Try to explain to me the error of my ways with the full knowledge that I have determined that it is you who need the straightening out and I look forward to the chance to do so!  But please, when you write, use actual verses of scripture to make your point – not platitudes, pontification or opinions.  I can repudiate the Bible very well with actual scripture itself but opinions cannot be argued for or against.  If your religion and belief rely totally on opinion, then don't write me. Check into the nearest mental institution.  And certainly don't pray for me because you will accomplish nothing but prove the falsehood of that goofy doctrine.  Indeed, "if ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you."  I'm not a young man anymore. I have been many places and have seen many things, but I have never seen a mountain in a "yonder place" or an answered prayer that wouldn't have been self-fulfilled by its own accord anyway, so your chances of converting me back to Christianity are about as slim as a mustard seed is small (although not the smallest as Jesus claims in Mark 4:31) proving once again the uselessness of prayer to a so-called divine and all-knowing being. 

And speaking of all-knowing; if the Bible, which is really a collection of many books by many authors, was truly inspired by "the Creator" or "God" or whatever you want to call him, shouldn't it be error-free concerning scientific facts?  The first chapter of the Book of Genesis tells us that the earth was created first out of water no less, then the sun the moon and the stars were formed. Other scientific errors that are made include: the earth cannot be moved (1Chron. 16:30); the Sun and the Moon stopped (Josh. 10:13); the Sun went backward ten degrees on the sundial (1Kings 20:11); a woman was produced from a man's rib (Gen 2:21-23); serpents shall eat dust (Gen. 3:14); snakes turn into rods and vice versa (Exod. 4:2-4); snakes and asses can talk (Gen. 3:1-5 and Num. 22:28-30); bats are birds (Lev. 11:13, 19); a corn of wheat must die to bring forth much fruit (John 12:24); exercise has little value (1Tim. 4:8); four-legged insects crawled the Earth (Lev. 11:22-23); hare's chew the cud and have an undivided hoof (Lev. 11:6-7); languages did not evolve (Gen 11:6-9); people can drink poison with no ill-effect (Mark 16:18); salt can lose its saltiness (Mark 9:40); all water in Egypt turned into Blood (Exod. 7:20-21); water can change into wine (John 2:3, 7-9); man can live for forty days without food or water (Exod. 34:28); striped rods will cause striped calves (Gen. 30:37-39).  Does anyone take this seriously?  Oh!  "God can do anything," say the enlightened masses.  Well, so can Superman!  The only thing Superman can't do is tolerate Kryptonite.  But then again, God can't destroy iron chariots either as told to us by Judges 1:19. 

People, we have been deceived.  Wake up!  Get your head out of the sand!  Think with a brain!  Let go of the few "pet" verses you cling to and look at ALL of the verses in the Bible and either obey them completely with all your mind and soul or see the Bible for the fiction and contradiction that it represents. 

Most of us were raised to believe in Santa Claus, the Easter Bunny, the Tooth Fairy and various other ridiculous fairy tales.  To a man/woman, we all abandoned these childish beliefs except for the fairy tales and fantasies that were taught in church.  Why is that?  Why do adults grow up and fail to see the absurdity of a gigantic world-wide flood that has been proven impossible to have occurred and a seven day creation when we know the earth is billions of years old?  Not only that, the Bible teaches that the earth was created before the sun!  Just these simple facts alone should convince anyone believing in the sanctity of the Bible that they are the laughingstock of the world and rightly so for believing thus.  If you combine these facts with Biblical contradictions, fallacies, cruelties and absurdities, any reasonable person must conclude that the Bible cannot be the word of God.  The Bible is an "unauthorized" biography!  There is no way a true God would allow such a book to be written about him.  Christians and other religionists are in for a rude awakening and the wrath of God will have the last word upon them when they fail to be resurrected upon their deaths.
